Mr. Rogers Sweater Drive

Thank you to all who participated in the Sweater Drive. KTE turned in over 30 sweaters, jackets, hats, and blankets. During this time of year, the homeless shelters are always thankful for any donations they receive. Thank you for your support.

Box Tops

WOW! Once again the KTE family has come together to help our school. Once all the box tops were counted and sent in to General Mills, KTE got the news that we will receive a check for $1,019.00. Thank you for your time and effort to cut and count tops!

Polar Express Spirit Night at Chick-fil-A

Please join us Monday, December 12th from 5:30-8pm for a night of Polar Express entertainment at the Chick-fil-A located on the corner of Atlantic Blvd. and Hodges. There will be train rides, hot chocolate and some of our very own KTE faculty will be reading the Polar Express. Chick-fil-A will graciously donate a portion of the evening’s proceeds to Kernan Trail Elementary. We hope you will come enjoy a fun night with your teachers and friends!

Holiday Gift Shop

You and your child are invited to participate in the upcoming Holiday Gift Shop. This program makes it possible for your student to experience the joy of choosing their own special holiday gifts for family and friends. The children have so much fun they don’t realize they are participating in a valuable learning experience of comparing prices and staying on budget.

HUNDREDS of quality gifts for the children will be available to choose from ranging from 25¢ to $12.50. The TAX FREE items include sports memorabilia, jewelry, tools, mugs and much more. This is a CASH ONLY store; no checks or credit cards please.

The gift shop will be located in the Teachers Lounge near the dining room and will be open December 12th -16th from 7:30-8:30am and 3:00-5:00pm. Extended hours are available on Thursday, December 15th during the PTA General Meeting. All students MUST be accompanied by an adult to shop.

We also need parent volunteers to assist in setting up, restocking tables and breaking down the shop. If you would like to be a Holiday Helper, please contact our PTA Volunteer Coordinator Marissa Haynes at (904)240-0267 or email her at marissahaynes@comcast.net.
