Decorating Cakes!

Mother's Day Cakes will be decorated on Friday, May 6th in the Dining Room.

We had a very successful sale on Mother's Day cakes this year and now we need volunteers to help our students decorate those cakes before they go home.  A representative from Publix will be there to help and provide various colored icings and decorations.

PTA Beautification Day is this Saturday, April 30th starting at 8am!

Come help us trim hedges, spread mulch, and weed flower beds. Don't forget your gloves and any gardening tools that would be helpful. Doughnuts will be provided for the "early birds".

PTA Meeting on Thursday

Don't forget to attend the PTA Meeting this Thursday, April 21st at 7pm.  The resource teachers are in charge of the grade presentation so several students from different grade levels will be participating.  We hope to see you there!

Kernan Trail Extravaganza

You won't want to miss this year's Kernan Trail Extravaganza and Silent Auction on June 3rd.  We will be hosting a talent show to showcase the many talents of our students at Kernan Trail Elementary.  More information regarding the talent show will be sent home this week in your student's planner.  We will also have a catered dinner and items to bid on during the Silent Auction.  More information will be posted later.

PTA Day at the Jacksonville Suns

PTA membership has it's perks and it's almost time to cash in on one!  Mark your calendars for the PTA Day at the Jacksonville Suns on Tuesday, May 11th.  Be sure to show your PTA membership card at the gate to get discounted tickets.  More details to follow.

We Love Our Volunteers!

Thank you to all our FCAT Volunteers!  You were a tremendous help and the teachers were very appreciative with your efforts to help their classes be prepared for the test.  We love our volunteers and so grateful for the time you spend helping to make Kernan Trail Elementary great.

Beautification Day

PTA Beautification Day at Kernan Trail Elementary will be held on Saturday, April 30th from 8:00am-12:00pm.  Come help spread mulch, trim hedges, and weed flower beds to help "spring clean" our school campus!  Bring your gloves, rakes, shovels, and water!

Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are needed on FCAT Testing dates beginning Monday April 11th - Thursday April 14th from 8:20am-8:50am.

We need help pouring juice and passing out snacks to our 3rd, 4th & 5th graders as they prepare for FCAT testing. If you are able to help 1 day, 2 days or all 4 days, please contact Karen Stephan at 904-382-7161.
